6 more die of dengue, 953 hospitalised in a day

At least six dengue patients died while 953 others were hospitalised in 24 hours till 8:00 am today.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), among the deaths, two were reported from Dhaka South City Corporation areas and one each in Dhaka North City Corporation, Barishal, Khulna and Rajshahi divisions.

With the new deaths and cases, the total number of deaths this year rose to 230, while total cases rose to 54,559.

Among the total cases, a total of 51,783 dengue patients have been released so far after treatment.

Currently, 2,546 dengue patients are undergoing treatment at different hospitals across Bangladesh, 1,657 of whom are from outside Dhaka.
