Buet opens biomedical research lab

A state-of-the-art laboratory for biomedical research was launched at the Biomedical Engineering department in Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet).

Secretary of the Health Services Division at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare inaugurated the laboratory as chief guest on Tuesday, said a press release.

Called Labs@Location, the lab was established with support from ZEISS, an internationally leading technology company, with a view to promote research and academic activities in BUET.

This will lead to the upliftment of overall scientific community of Bangladesh through regular training programs.

In addition, this centre will also engage with Bangladeshi Industries in analysing the samples.

The ZEISS labs@location institutes are part of leading research facilities and have an excellent reputation implementing a certain technology and its application.

ZEISS is an internationally leading technology enterprise operating in the fields of optics and optoelectronics.
