Dengue: 2 dead, 279 hospitalised in a day

At least two dengue patients died while 279 others were hospitalised in the last 24 hours till this morning.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), all the deaths occurred in areas under the Dhaka South City Corporation.

With the new deaths and cases, the total number of deaths rose to 147, while total cases rose to 37,206.

Among the total cases, a total of 35,337 dengue patients have been released so far.

Currently, 1,722 dengue patients are undergoing treatment at different hospitals across the country, 1,002 of which are from outside Dhaka.
