Five more die of dengue

At least five dengue patients died and 444 patients were hospitalised in the last 24 hours till this morning.

Of the deaths, two were reported from Dhaka South City Corporation while one each was reported from Chattogram division, Dhaka North City Corporation and Rangpur division.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), with the new deaths and cases, the total number of deaths rose to 541 while the total number of cases rose to 97,947 of which 58,763 are from outside Dhaka.

Currently, 1,840 dengue patients are undergoing treatment, of which 1,140 are from outside Dhaka.

A total of 95,566 patients have been released till yesterday across the country.
