Health camp for female patients held in Sirajganj

A health camp has been held at Masimpur village in Sirajganj recently.

The camp -- organised by "Amena Sheikh Somaj Kolyan Shangshtha" on Friday -- provided treatment for female patients suffering from colon and breast diseases, including cancer.

Around 500 women from Sirajganj Sadar and Ullapara upazilas benefited from consultations with specialised doctors.

A total of nine expert doctors attended, identifying 20 critical cases of breast and colon cancer.

"We will take necessary steps to ensure proper treatment for critical patients," said Selina Siddiqua Anna, secretary of the organisation.

Arrangements have already been made for two patients at Kurmitola Hospital and PG hospital in Dhaka.

The organisation continues efforts to improve healthcare access for vulnerable women, addressing taboos that hinder proper medical treatment.
