Nissan's VR38 engine is definitely a powerhouse, but putting it family friendly crossovers and pickup trucks? Ridiculous. Or awesome. We do our own versions as well.

Nissan went from grandpa car segment to hypercar territory with its GTR. Since then, the 3.8 liter twin turbo V6 VR38DETT has been the source of automotive lunacy. Nissan launched the Nismo Juke-R, a 545 hp, confused mini SUV that became even more baffled with time. Nissan took the joke to another level when they took a Qashqai and morphed the CUV into an apocalyptic supercar murderer with a tuned GTR drivetrain, producing 1100 hp. This bomb hit 0-100 kph in 2.7 seconds.

Severn Valley Motorsport (SVM), who were the brainchild behind the concept of these ridiculous transformations, went a step further with a Navara pickup. The Navara-R's GTR heart has been tuned to 800 hp but is capable of doing 1500 hp. And they're taking in customized orders. To lure in more fan boys, SVMis going to be tinkering with a Pulsar GTi.

Got us at thinking, what other cool transmogrification can we do with the GTR heart? Find out below in our very own very lazy photoshops.
