Senior District and Sessions Judge Dilip Kumar Bhowmik also fined the convict Tk one lakh, our Bogura correspondent reports quoting Public Prosecutor Faruk Ahmed Prince.

Rabi Das, the bus supervisor, is from Chandihara village in Bogura's Shibganj upazila, the public prosecutor said.

According to the case statement, Rabi (26) was a drug dealer and was carrying 430 gms of heroin in his bus on November 4, 2018.

A team of Detective Branch of Police arrested Rabi with the heroin in a bus of Nowsha Paribahan on Palashbari intersection in Gaibandha.

Later, a case under Narcotics Control Act was filed against Rabi with Palashbari Police Station.
