Colour my PANTS
If you thought coloured trousers were only for the ladies, think again. Men can be flashy and still own the part! The material of the piece is the decisive factor for coloured things, especially pants, as not all colours suit all types of fabrics.
To the genuinely stylish, there should not be any bias towards a particular shade; experimentation is often the key to success. So yes! Go wild with maroon, purple, navy blue, orange and even pinks (and why not?!) What truly matters is how you complement the trousers with other the other pieces.
Usually Polo shirts and loafers look best with coloured pants. To break the monotony, T-shirts and shoes must not be of the same colour as the pants. The physique of the wearer is an important thing to consider- tall men can pull off darker colours more easily than shorter people look best in monochromes. A light-blue, half-sleeved T-shirt paired with navy blue pants, creates a lengthening effect by drawing the eyes upward.
As coloured trousers give out a refreshing, casual look; please be very selective about the occasion you choose to wear them. Coloured pants on an evening out with friends might be acceptable, but a formal meeting with colleagues at the office will probably demand something more on the formal side. Coloured trousers look best when paired with loafers, running shoes and even boots.

Styling is not as easy as it may seem. Before you get your mix right, you must be ready to experiment, but it does not mean you need to put on neon green denims paired with red socks. Subtlety is often key, especially in men's fashion.
Colours look best in summer and spring, but there is not a reason in the world, why you cannot pick it on a dull, drab, chilly winter morning. The colours might actually keep your spirit up for the rest of the day.
We have heard our parents bragging about our unique personalities. But there is something they have not been telling us, our appearances differ significantly as well, leading to the fact that we are unable to pull off all kinds of look imagined. Some men have tree trunks for legs, while others have skinnier versions. Some men are tall, towering above most of the population, while others are shorter.
All these variations give designers a challenge to design attires that appeal to everyone. Similarly some men may be able to pull off coloured pants, while others may fail miserably. But if everything works out fine, then as they say it– end justifies the means.
