Indian startup names tea brand after Ukraine’s Zelensky

An Indian startup has named its tea brand after Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky to "honour his valour and courage" in the face of Russian invasion.
Ranjit Barua, director of Aromica Tea, based in north eastern state of Assam, said that brand Zelensky, a strong Assam CTC tea, was launched on Wednesday (March 16, 2022), reports our New Delhi correspondent.
The brew will be available for sale online, he added.
"The basic idea is to honour the valour and courage of the president who rejected the US offer to escape the war-torn country. This shows his character," Barua said.
According to India's Tea Board data, Russia, the largest importer of Indian tea, had sourced 34.09 million kg of tea in 2021. Ukraine, on the other hand, imported 1.73 million kg tea from India during the year.
