Whenever I try closing my eyes, and maybe take a power nap, I am instantly relocated to the Bahamas in my reverie. Call it hallucination or not, it does not matter…for every single time I am enjoying thoroughly; sipping coconut water, lounging on beach chairs, with hair flowing in the wind.

Everything remains the same, only the floral prints on my tropical gowns keep changing. Sometimes it's the gerbera, birds of paradise, the calla lily or the Ecuadorian roses; they are always varied. In my dreams my significant other is also clad in a Hawaiian floral shirt and khakis – again his motifs are diverse with gardenias, oriental lilies, tulips or mimosas.

I have tried explaining this to many sleep experts and all they came up with is that I have a particular fascination for flowers, or specifically, floral printed clothes.

Déjà vu, I believe, as many of you have similar kinds of dreams to narrate. Because there are so many flower aficionados amongst us.

Speaking on the topic, I might also agree that floral saris, along with gowns, are quintessentially classy and elegant, looking grand in any kind of soiree from day time kitties to nightly get-togethers.

If ladies dress themselves in florals — we simply love it!

From a casual get together with friends and sipping mocktails, to playing snooker or catching up on a friendly game of poker, to an informal dinner party with friends, loud prints, including florals for men, are simply 'in'. Some of you may call it tacky, we call it style.

No longer are men supposed to wear subtle prints in dull boring colours; they can roundabout wear anything they want as long as it suits their personality. So, if any of you think you are colourful enough to paint other peoples' lives then perhaps you are truly made for the floral suits.

Maybe it's about time you guys got together to throw a colourful party where people wear their best and you sport your chiffons, florals and Hawaiian shirts.
