Those who intend to travel to India through Benapole land port will not need to present a negative Covid-19 test report if they have already taken the Covid-19 booster shot.

Mohammad Raju Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Benapole Immigration Police, confirmed the matter to The Daily Star today.

Travellers who have received a booster dose after two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine will no longer need a 72-hour RT-PCR Covid-19 test certificate to travel to India, Benapole Immigration authorities said.

However, when they return to the country at the end of their travel, they would have to present a 72-hour Covid-19 test certificate from India, said Dr Zahidur Rahman, in-charge of Benapole Immigration Health Department.
