Talking to The Daily Star, Fahmida Nabi said “I feel very honoured to have done this song. Harun R Rashid, the Director General of BTV, asked me to record it. Syed Haq's demise is a great loss for Bangladesh, and to pay tribute to him was a rewarding experience.”

The artiste also shared her memory of a similar work in the past. “When Selim Al Deen passed away, I was also fortunate to record his last poem, 'Akash Somudro Opar', as a song.”

Hosted by Afzal Hossain, BTV's programme is set to air this Thursday, Fahmida Nabi informed.
