13-day programme by Group Theatre Forum

Gono Sangeet (song of masses) artiste Hari Prasanna Pal will inaugurate the festival at the Shilpakala Academy premises. Veteran poet Mahbub Ul Alam Chowdhury, famed for writing the first poem on our Language Movement, will be the chief guest at the inauguration programme.

Local Chittagong troupes, including Kalpurush, Shomikaran Theatre, Nandimukh, Ganayan Natya Sampradaya, Tirjak Natya Goshthi, Theatre Guild, Protinidhi Natya Sampradaya, Kathak Theatre, Shabda Natya Charcha Kendra, Theatre Workshop Chattogram and Angan Theatre Unit, will stage shows. Moreover, Prangone Mor, a theatre troupe from Dhaka, will participate in the theatre festival.

Street plays, song of masses, patriotic songs, mime and recitation, among others, also feature in the theatre festival.
