Kuddus said, "My troupe has performed four shows in this year's Victory Day celebration programmes at different venues such as the Central Shaheed Minar and Bangladesh China Friendship Centre. I performed solos, pala, and duets with my wife Papiya."

In fact, Kuddus has spent an eventful year. He went to USA in March and put up 17 shows at several states such as New York, New Jersey and Los Angeles. He said, "Muktadhara invited me for a six-month programme in USA. I had no idea about the popularity of folk songs in USA. Besides, performing solos, I demonstrated the form of traditional pala in the events. Watching my performance, as well as the smooth transformation of the characters in a pala, people were highly amused. In fact, USA-based Bangla channels interviewed me. Moreover, Muktadhara has invited my troupe to stage four shows of palas like Mahua, Malua and others next year in USA."
