Ahorokandal: First production of Janmosutra

Badruzzaman Alamgir's social drama Ahorokandal depicts the criminal mindset of a group of unemployed young men. Three young men Daniul, Akmal and Bahar -- gather at a char of Buriganga river on a cold night to kill a man on condition of getting paid. In the bargain, they are caught between reason and an inherent criminal tendency.

Director Kamaluddin Kabir says, "I have used different indigenous performing art forms in the play."

Kamaluddin Kabir is the set designer while Nasirul Haque Khokon is the light designer of the play.

Ahorokandal will be staged on September 17 and 18 at Natmondal, Dhaka University.
