Amar Chobi reaches 250th episode

Channel-i is set to telecast the grand 250th episode ofAmar Chobi, a popular documentary cine magazine on June 26. This is a first in Bangladesh since no other weekly magazine has reached this mark, says a press release.Amar Chobiembarked on its journey on January 2, 2000 with an opening interview of famous film director, AJ Mintoo. In the year 2005, the programme reached its sixth year.

The documentary cine magazine's planning, script writing and direction is jointly done by Shafiuzzaman Khan Lodi and Shamim Alam Dipen.

Amar Chobi telecast 57 episodes with young and veteran directors of the film industry, including those from the mainstream and alternative stream as well. Among them were popular film directors the late Mita, Tozammel Huq Bakul, SK Niamat Ali and MA Samad.

Amar Chobi is telecast every Thursday at 6.25 pm. The subject and the attraction of the 250th episode of the cine magazine is veteran film actor Saifuddin of Mukh-O-Mukhosh.
