AR Rahman to visit Bangladesh in December
A R Rahman, a legendary chapter in the contemporary world of music direction, has touched the heart of music lovers all around the world. This gifted musician will be in Bangladesh in December on an invitation of the Bangladesh Press Club, to celebrate its Golden Jubilee next year.
To be a part of this yearlong celebration, A. R Rahman with his troupe, comprising more than a hundred members, has agreed to be here for a concert expected to be held at the Army Stadium.
The general secretary of the Bangladesh Press Club Shawkat Mahmud confirmed the news and said, 'We want to have a colourful celebration that is why we have invited Rahman. We have also contacted Sonu Nigam, Kumar Shanu, Alka Yagnik and some other maestros. We are willing to arrange a concert publicly and use the financial proceeds from it to form a welfare fund for the journalists. A committee has already been formed in this regard.'
