Awareness programme of Bangladesh Betar
A programme on 'Development of Women and Children's Activities' was organised by Bangladesh Betar, Dhaka with Abdul Aziz Talukder, Regional Director (programme) in the chair. The function, held in Mymensingh, was a part of outreach programme of Bangladesh Betar.
A cultural function, held recently at the local Shilpakala Academy, was aimed at creating awareness among the women folk and children on various common diseases, including diarrhea and sanitation through songs, jatra pala and skits. Eminent actors of Bangladesh Betar, BTV and cinema including Anisuzzaman Anis, Abdul Aziz Talukder, Rita Banerjee, and Farid Ali took part in the function.
Popular singers Fatema-tuz-Zohra, Rafiqul Alam, Abubakar Siddique along with Babul Sarker, Moly Akhtar, Rokshana Momtaz and others performed patriotic, Tagore, Nazrul and regional songs of greater Mymensingh.
