Today, viewers can enjoy three films--Dhrubo, Bashundhora and Ora Egaro Jon as part of the silver jubilee celebration of Bangladesh Film Archive (BFA).

Dhrubo: Directed by our national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, the short film Dhrubo is a fable of an unfortunate prince Dhrubo. Kazi Nazrul Islam plays the role of Narod in the film. The film will be screened at 4:30 pm at the National Museum Auditorium.

Screening of Dhrubo will be followed by full-length film Bashundhora directed by Shubash Datt. Based on famous novelist Alauddin Al Azad's novel Teish Nombor Toilochitro, the film centres round Jahedul, a painter. The story of the film develops with his aim to do an oil painting titled Bashundhora.

After a break BFA will show Ora Egaro Jon of Chashi Nazrul Islam. Screenplay writer Kazi Aziz Ahmed's story is set against the backdrop of our freedom movement in 1971. In fact, it is the first film on the country's liberation war. Ora Egaro Jon basically portrays the actions of some guerilla freedom fighters who made great contributions to our Liberation War.
