Bangladeshi exhibition in Maldives

The exhibition titled Sreejoni: Paintings from Bangladesh has been organised on the occasion of the 35th Independence Day of Bangladesh. The event has been jointly organised by the National Art Gallery of Maldives and the Bangladesh High Commission, Male, says a press release.

On display are works by renowned painters of Bangladesh, namely Murtaza Baseer, Mohammad Kibria, Monirul Islam, Shahbuddin, Kalidas Karmakar among others. Bangladesh High Commissioner, Mijarul Quyes presented a set of publications on the works of major Bangladeshi artistes and a folder of art works by Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin to President Gayoom.
