Bango Rango stages Unmachan
On October 22, theatre group Bango Rango presented Unmachan at Mahila Samity Stage.
The plot of the play: To relax in the countryside, a group of people get together. Among them are Rashed Choudhury, a politician, Zahir Hassan, a businessman, Azizur Rahman, the editor of a newspaper, Akash Ahmed, a writer and Reba Zoarder, a social activist. Like a bolt from the blue, a person arrives, who is acquainted with these elites. Through the unwanted guest, one after another the darker sides of these people are revealed.

Their approach is realistic. However, they failed to create the required tension throughout the play.
Zillur Rahman's set is not effective. He has tried to create the fashionable interiors of a rest house in the countryside. However, the use of a painted curtain to portray the walls looked fake.
Light designer Asif Muneir Tonmoy has mostly used general light wash. Chowdhury Imran Quadir, in the role of businessman Zahir Hassan, performed boldly throughout the play. Jenny as Reba Zoarder and Santanu as Azizur Rahman were impressive. Mostafa Sharif Mithun overacted in the role of the unexpected guest.
