Circus Circus narrates the struggle of an itinerant rural circus troupe. On one such halt in a remote area, the troupe comes face to face with obdurate religious fanatics, who misuse religion for political benefits. The latter attack the circus troupe and wreak havoc.

Azad's play also narrates the different problems confronted by the troupe. As the sub-plot of the play he has interestingly focused on the decaying indigenous art form, which is turning to vulgarity from artistic presentation. Azad portrays the circus troupe realistically and adopts the language of the rural artistes.

Azad Abul Kalam is the director of the play. Shaiful Islam is the set and light designer of Circus Circus.
