Kanjush: An adaption of Molier¿s play

As part of the ongoing theatre festival, viewers can enjoy another Moliere comedy tonight. Loko Natya Dal will stageKanjush, an adaptation of Moliere's satirical play,The Miser, at the Experimental Theatre Stage.
Kanjush belongs to the Comedy of Morals genre, which is designed to ridicule and correct vices such as hypocrisy, pride, avarice, social pretensions and nepotism.
Tariq Anam Khan's adaptation of Moliere's The Miser presents as the Dhakaiya (an inhabitant of Old Dhaka city) protagonist, a rich old man named Haider Ali. Through Haider Ali's story, Kanjush attacks the hypocrisy, greediness, dishonesty and opportunist tendency of the elite.
