B&H Star Search 2004 auditions at Rajshahi

Salvation was awarded the best band from Rajshahi

Amidst the excitement of 11 upcoming solo artists and 4 electrifying bands, the auditions started around ten in the morning. The room was adorned with posters of Star Search winners from previous years. Each artiste performed two songs and answered the music relevant questions of the judges. Celebrated musician Ayub Bachchu and Kumar Bishwajit were the designated judges at the audition. The music lovers cheered the performers all the way until the end of the show.

The audition was followed by an exhilarating musical evening by the Benson & Hedges Star Search 2004 judges. The musical extravaganza kicked off with the winner of best solo performer, Star Search 2002 Ashfaqul Bari Rumon. He enthralled the audience with his melodious songs and poignant lyrics. Judges Kumar Bishwajit and Ayub Bachchu came on stage next to announce Edul Bashar as the best solo performer and Salvation as best band from Rajshahi. The audience greeted the new found Rajshahi winner of Star Search with cheers. Kumar Bishwajit spoke highly of the promising musicians before entertaining the crowd for an hour. Bachchu of LRB stormed onto the stage to rock the crowd with his all time popular songs.

In the final round, the best 15 of the solo performers and bands will perform in the Benson & Hedges Star Search 2004, to be held at Dhaka.

The last regional audition of the competition will be held in Sylhet on today.
