Bollywood's two top action heroes Salman Khan an Akshay Kumar will fight it out to win the heart of former Miss World Priyanka Chopra in a new comedy to be directed by ace filmmaker David Dhawan.

'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi?' (Will You Marry Me?), was announced this week by Dhawan who is known for making some of Bollywood's best known comic films such as "Coolie Number One" (Porter Number One) and 'Biwi Number One' (Wife Number One).

'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi?' is about two men chasing one woman and wanting to marry her. It is a complete entertainer and a comedy film," Dhawan told AFP.

Dhawan, who has not delivered a hit for more than two years, is confident his latest venture will fare well at the box office because he is tapping into the talents of two actors whose careers are on the ascendant.

Dhawan is not worried that the audience may reject the action heroes taking comic roles, saying they both have done so in the past.

Both Kumar and Chopra are upbeat about the movie which will cost 250 million rupees (5.5 million dollars). It will be shot in Italy, South Africa and Bombay.

Khan, 37, is currently out on bail. He got a measure of relief last week when the Bombay high court dropped charges of culpable homicide against him in the hit-and-run case.
