Bonopangshul by Dhaka Theatre

Dhaka Theatre will stageBonopangshulof Selim Al Deen at 7:00 p.m. at the Mahila Samity Mancha today. It is a neo-Ethnic play. Selim Al Deeen emerges as an anthropologist in the play.Bonopangshulis the tale of an infamous and decaying tribe named 'Mandai' living in the forest areas of the greater Mymensingh. The play portrays the real life--culture, heritage and the rituals of the tribal people. Through the play, the dramatist wants to show the oppression by the majority Bangali community over there on this minority population is facing. Nasiruddin Yousuff directs the play. Kamal Pasha Chaudhury is the set designer while Arifur Raman Munir is the light designer.

Shampan Naiya of Uttoradhikar

Uttoradhikar presents Shampn Naiya by Aminur Rahman Mukul at the National Theatre Stage at 7:00 p.m. This is a folk tale. The play portrays the people living at the southeast coast of the country, whose life greatly depends on the tides of the Bay of Bengal. They coexist with multifold conflicts but are not tired of weaving dreams. Mosleuddin Shikdar is the director of the play. Ainur Rahman Mukul is the set designer and Nasiruddin is the light designer.
