A busy month for the Peoples' Theatre Association

Two branches of Peoples' Theatre AssociationAmra Kajon Shilpi Goshthi,BograandIshtikutum, Chittagong- will visit India to take part in two different festivals, says a press release.

Monir Hasan, an official of Peoples' Theatre Association, will lead the 15-member 'Amra Kajon Shilpi Goshthi' team which will stage Nana Borner Bangladesh by Abdus Samad Polash in the 'International Festival of Children Theatre and Performing Arts 2004' in Mumbai. Rayan International School has arranged the festival from 19 to 21 of this month. Abu Taher Liton will lead the 16-member Ishtikutum which will stage their popular Mon Bhalo Choshma by Khorshedul Islam to participate in the 'International Theatre Festival of Lord Buddha and his Feelings'. The festival will take place from January 8 to 11 in Gujrat. The press release also adds that Loko Natya Dal, the mother group of the association, could entertain the Indian audience with two of their productions Shonai Madhob and Shiddhidata during their recent visit to Kolkata in December.
