Saidus Saqlain's translated playThe Missionis based on the novelThe Light on the Galogeby Ana Segars. The plot of the novel depicts the social and political condition of Jamaica after the French Revolution, in which the black Jamicans, influenced by the revolution, revolt against the British Empire. Saqlain's play is a post-modern drama in which he tries to distinguish emotion from reality. The play projects an eternal aspect of any successful revolution in which the revolution becomes a useless one because of the hypocrisy of some of the leaders.

Kamaluddin Nilu directs the play. Sarder Aftabuddin is the set designer while Mir M Badal is the light designer.
