Celebrating monsoon
Hosted by Nishat Jahan Rana, the programme started with a welcome speech by Majidur Rahman Biswas. Apart from the artistes of Nandan, including Anjuman Ferdousy Kakoli, Deepa Paul, Mahmudur Rahman Tuhin, Saiful Islam Khan, Neelotpaul Shadhya and Tasnima Begum, popular Rabindra Sangeet singers Fahim Hossain Chowdhury and Salma Akbar also performed several songs on rain and the season.
The opening singer Deepa Paul performed Bahujuger opar hotey and Eki gabhir bani elo. Tuhin presented Anek katha bolechhilem and Kichhu bolo boley. Kakoli rendered Ekla boshey badal sheshey and Amar nishithrater badoldhara, which earned applause.

Nandan began its journey on January 23, 2003 with a unique musical soiree, Choley Esho Gharey Parobashi. The venue was the auditorium of Biswa Shahitya Kendra. "The combined effort by both eminent and promising artistes should be dedicated to create a perfect environment for promoting and practicing Tagore songs properly," says the Nandan slogan. With that in mind, Nandan organises special cultural programmes every three months. The programmes are basically musical sessions showcas-ing the songs of Panchokobi -- Rabindranath Tagore, Kazi Nazrul Islam, DL Roy, Atul Proshad and Rajanikanto.
