Celebration of studentship

The first day of the festival was illuminate with the performance of the students of the university. They presented dance and songs.
The teachers too had their share in the admirable performance as they led the students from the front. One of the teachers Nazir Ahmed played the piano, Nashid Kamal another teacher performed a number from 60's and a Bhawaia. They altogether brought back the 1960 decade on stage and were able to take the audiences to those days thereby.
At the end, eminent singer Syed Abdul Hadi, who is a parent of a student of the university, sang at the request of the students. All the performers sang in chorus with him.
On the second day IUB presented Dewan Gazir Kissa staged by Nagarik Nattya Shampraday, a well-reputed theatre group in the country. The play's social satire surely gave the audience a lot to think about the decay of our society.
At the end of the drama, however, the authority of the university hurriedly brought the programme to its end, while there were a lot of distinguished personalities like Aly Zaker, Abul Hayat, Afsana Mimi, and many others were on the stage. The authority could call one of them for a speech.
The evening of the third day was an assemblage of talented pupils from different universities as Inter University General Knowledge Quiz Contest took place at the National Museum. Vice Chancellor of IUB, Professor Bazlul Mabin Chowdhury was present as chief guest at the event. Inter University Painting Competition also took place on the same day at the same venue. The exhibition of the paintings will remain open for all from June 4 to 9, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
It certainly is full of hope that a private university like IUB touches its 10th anniversary-mark successfully, especially when there is an alarming situation created by the abundant rise of private universities.
