The gorgeous stage with its green background of forest wood attracted the audience straightaway. With the beautiful lighting effect, the stage had an extra dimension. The river, the rising sun or the evening and even the moonlit night were vividly projected.

As a fund raising initiative, Chhayanaut arranged a dance drama at the National Museum auditorium for the construction of its building. The artistes of Nrityanchal along with Shibli Mohammad, Shamim Ara Neepa and Belayet Hossain Khan performed in the dance drama. Shamim Ara Neepa directed the show. It was the famous folktale Mahua of Mymensingh Geetika.

It is a tragic love story of two people from different walks of life. Mahua, a snake charmer falls in love with a rich boy Nader Chand. But her community acts as a barrier to their love. To avoid any trouble, the snake charmer tribe flee away from the area. Nader Chand starts looking for Mahua but finds her nowhere. Meanwhile, when he falls asleep on the bank of the river, Mahua's father gives a knife to her to kill her beloved. Instead of killing him, Mahua runs away with Nader Chand. But ultimately they are caught by Mahua's father and once again he gives Mahua a knife to kill Nader Chand. Mahua cannot kill him and instead stabs herself and Nader Chand too kills himself as a result.

Colourful costumes and lighting made the show very attractive. The folk songs like Hey Nagor Chhaira De Kalashi, Ar Na Shuni Ami Bandhu Tomar Mohan Banshi, Bansh Loilo Dari Loilo Shakol Baida, Otho Otho Naider Thakur, Nithur Moroney Giya MililoDuita Pran and others were very melodious.. The audience thoroughly enjoyed the show.
