There is nothing amusing like books, especially books for children. And as the readers of Bangladesh are aware, books from Russia are simply unsurpassed. A month-long exhibition of children's books in Russian, English and Bangla has been in its midway at the Russian Cultural Centre.

The books range from the world famous classic pieces like War and Peace and Anna Karennina by Leo Tolstoy, book of plays by Anton Chekhov, Quiet Flows the Don by Mikhail Sholokov and Ten Days that Shook the World by John Reed to biogrphical Russian Thinkers by A Anikin, adventure story The Tiger Hunters by Anatoly Builov and books on the history of the USSR.

The display is chiefly for the students of the Russian language courses at the Centre. But such exhibitions could enhance the young generation's access to the magnificent world of the classics of the Russian literature, if they could be arranged for all in general.
