Discussion on Nazrul held in Comilla

The event was presided over by Professor Amir Ali Chowdhury and Executive Director of Nazrul Institute, Dhaka, poet Abdul Hye Sikdar was the chief guest. ADC (Rev) of Comilla, Abdul Wahab Khan attended the programme as the special guest. Other distinguished guests at the programme were Principal of Nazrul Memorial Academy, Comilla, Professor Hasan Imam Fatik, journalist Dr Ali Hossain Chowdhury and poet Zahirul Huq Dulal. The chief guest assured government cooperation in preserving Nazrul's memory in Comilla. He added that Comilla had a deep impact on Nazrul's works.

Later a cultural function was held where students of Nazrul Memorial Academy, Comilla, staged a performance. On the occasion, a photo exhibition on Kazi Nazrul Islam was arranged at the Town Hall.
