Bangladesh Centre of the International Theatre Institute in cooperation with Goethe Institut Dhaka presentsMy Unknown Enemy, a documentation of scenes and text of a theatre workshop, at the Institut's auditorium today. Theatre director Alexander Stillmark from Berlin worked together with theatre activists of India, Pakistan and Nepal, as part of International Theatre Institute's (ITI) workshop series having taken place in last few years.

My Unknown Enemy uses the methods of theatre and drama to pick conflicts out as a central theme in order to analyse differences and find ways for consideration. In the centre stands a text, the questions of which are staged resulting in discussion on cultural differences.

Similar workshops took place in 2002 in Bonn and in 2003 in Cairo.

On invitation of the ITI Bangladesh and Cultural Identity and Development, an international committee of ITI, 15 participants worked for 10 days in this workshop that started with Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot. A few scenes from the drama will be presented at the documentation show.
