Close Up 1 Tomakeyee Khujchey Bangladesh,a popular television show on ntv, seeks to promote the gifted singers of the country. The programme airs two back-to-back prime-time shows a week: the first night features an hour of performances while the second night features the elimination round. The programme reveals tough competition, spectacular performances and the struggle to stardom laced with gripping drama and high emotions of the participants.

The show has become extremely competitive. The eight music contestants, Champa from Dhaka, Anup from Nilphamari, Palash from Rajshahi, Bristi from Naogaon, Kishor, Shabbir and Nisha from Chittagong and Sahida from Keranigonj are in the reckoning for the next round.

These upcoming singers have to prove their mettle by performing to a panel of judges. Two singers will be selected out of eight. The winners will be selected by the judges and public voting through SMS and internet votes.
