About 100 Editors and senior journalists of the South Asian Free Media Association (SAFMA), an organisation of the SAARC countries, participated in the third conference of SAFMA recently held in Dhaka. In honour of the visiting delegates as well as their local colleagues, the authorities of Fantasy Kingdom arranged an evening of amusement and entertainment at the theme park on the last day of the conference on May 27 of this month.

The evening was enlivened and colourful with the gracious presence of the Editors and journalists. Altaf Hossain Chowdhury, Minister for Home Affairs was present as the chief guest while Barkat Ullah, adviser of the Ministry of Commerce, Margub Morshed, Chairman of Telecommunication and Regulatory Board, Jafrul Islam Chowdhury, State Minister for Environment and Forest, Riazuddin Ahmed, President of SAFMA and many others also attended the event. All the guests enjoyed the evening by riding, dancing, singing with Prince Ashu, Princess Lia and their followers.

A cultural programme was arranged by a dance troupe of the Fantasy Kingdom. They performed with songs in Sri Lankan, Hindi and Bangla languages. They also performed acrobatics.

'All the journalists with open mind gathered under the banner of SAFMA will bring the matter to the world that we are priest, but not fundamentalist; even if we are fundamentalist we are not terrorist', hoped the chief guest in his speech addressed to the audience.

All foreign delegates expressed their views on the endeavour like the Fantasy Kingdom. They said that more such theme parks should be built in the cities of the SAARC countries, which will provide its inhabitants with good entertainment.
