EU Film Festival begins
A festival of seven European films started yesterday at the British Council auditorium. Jointly organised by the European Commission Member States, the Dutch Embassy, cultural institutes of the EU and Rainbow Film Society, the five-day festival showcases films from the Netherlands, Finland, Norway, UK, Germany, Slovenia and France.
Besides the member states of the EU, the festival is supported by the European Coordination of Film Festivals that presents about 220 films every year, says a press release.
The inaugural film of the festival was Young Kees by Dutch director André Van Duren.
