An evening of folk music

Participating in a brief discussion session was Nazrul researcher Asadul Haq, while Sargam editor Quazi Rownaq Hossain presided over the session.

On the heels of the discussion, Kanon Bala Sarkar began the musical soiree with a popular song of Guru Kanailal Shil titled Amay ato rate kaney dak dili. Then followed her rendering of Lalon (Kabe sadhur charan dhuli, Hason (Baula ke banailo re), Radha Ramon and other popular folk songs.

Kanon's one- and -a - half our presentation enthralled the audience. The singer was accompanied by Goutum (tabla), Hridoy Ranjan Bishi (mandira), Jahidul Kabir Liton (dotara), Habibur Rahman (harmonium) and Abul Hossain (percussion)
