Dhanmondi Tutorial (DT) is well known for its proficiency in extra-curricular activities such as debates, cultural programmes and science fairs, says a press release. Recently the school added another feather to its cap. The students of DT's middle section (3rd, 4th and 5th graders) were among the 3,33, 000 participants in the first round of the competition. In the second round, over 27,000 students from Dhaka division competed in 27 different venues to make it to the finals. DT fared well--Tasviha Taher and Fairuz Zahin bagged the first and fourth place in the Dhaka division respectively and made it to the finals.

The round took place at Bashundhara City, where competitors throughout the nation took part. Once more the two talented young artistes outdid themselves--Tasviha secured the second position and Fairuz obtained the third position.

Before the prize-giving ceremony, Faber-Castell organised a cultural show. Each school was granted 15 minutes to take the stage. Twenty-five boys and girls from the DT middle section performed in the show. They began with a song and a dance. This was followed by a poem recited by young boys. The school's presentation ended with a fascinating dance which went down well with the audience.
