Among the older houses, Muktodhara has brought only one new book to the fair along with a few revised editions of some previous publications. Mowla Brothers has brought a number of new books on different subjects, especially the history of Bangladesh. Ekjon Bharotiyo Bangalee'r Attoshomalochona and Daaymukti by Justice Habibur Rahman, Bangladesher Dukkher Bichar and Sohi Muktijuddhonama by Justice Golam Rabbani, English book Mujibnagar Government Documents 1971 edited by Dr Sukumar Biswas, and The Black August of 1975: The Assassination of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as Reflected in the World Press edited by Ratan Lal Chakrabarty and Muntasir Mamun are some of Mowla's important new publications.

Agami Prokashoni has reprinted almost all of late litterateur Humayun Azad's books. Besides, it has published a collection of tributes in memory of the author. Titled Ebhabey Mrittur Jonno Tomar Janmo Hoyni, the 600-page book is a befitting tribute from the house. Agami's other books include Mofazzal Haider Chowdhury's Ekattorer Dayeri, Humayun Azad's Adhar O Adheyo, Bhasha Andolon: Shahittik Patobhumi, Kabyo-shamogro and Kishor-shamogro, Khondokar Ashraf Hossain's Biswakobitar Shonali Shoshyo and Fahmidul Haque's book of stories E Shohor Amar Noy.

As usual, the works of Humayun Ahmed and Muhammad Zafar Iqbal are proving popular at the fair. Apart from the hard-cover editions of their novels published in different Eid special magazines, Anyaprokash has brought Humayun Ahmed's Lilaboti and the first volume of a collection of Zafar Iqbal's novels. Besides, Syed Shamsul Haque's Urey Jaay Maloti Pori, Imdadul Haque Milon's Tumii and Adbhut Ek Loker Shongey, Pronab Bhatta's Chandmukh Meye and Kajol Kalo Chokh, Nasrin Jahan's Samanta, Rejanur Rahman's Dehokabyo are some of the new novels brought by Anyaprokash.
