Legendary filmmaker Zahir Raihan is a trendsetter in our film history. His documentary film,Stop Genocide, depicts the genocide perpetrated by the Pakistani military regime during our Liberation War. The film played an important role during the freedom movement by raising public awareness about the brutality of the oppressors and generating sympathy for the Bangalees.

Zahir Raihan was also the maker of many renowned full-length feature films like Jibon Theke Neya, Kancher Deyal and others.

Now for the first time a documentary film is being made based on the biography of Zahir Raihan, featuring his disappearance, immediately after the Independence of Bangladesh, says a press release. Shahenshah Begum, the younger sister of Raihan, is the filmmaker.
