The commercial release of eminent Indian parallel film-maker Prakash Jha's latest work Gangajal is now out of trouble.

Jha's film, starring national award winner Ajay Devgan, in the role of an honest policeman, faced protests from Sadhu Yadav, younger brother of frontline opposition leader Laloo Prasad Yadav, and his supporters because a villain in the movie has the namesake of Sadhu Yadav.

Activists of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), headed by Laloo Prasad Yadav, vandalised two cinema halls in Patna on the first day of its release.

Jha, however, denied the charges by saying that there was no similarity between the real and reel life of Sadhu Yadav except the name.
