Ghorswar: The trials of a fisherman's family

Dr Bibhutibhushan Mukhapa-dhyaya has adapted Ghorswar from JM Synge's work of fiction, Riders to the Sea.

Through the narratives of a fisherman's family, living near the shore, Ghorswar, features the struggles of an aged woman, who has lost her six young sons in the sea in the course of fishing.

However, the play is not a tragedy; it ends on an optimistic note with the woman awaiting the return of her long lost sons.
