Hanks to star in first western

Empire says the 'Terminal' star has signed up to appear in 'Boone's Lick' with Julianne Moore.

The film is an adaptation of a novel by 'Lonesome Dove' author Larry McMurty.

In the film, Moore plays a headstrong woman who goes on a journey with her children from 'Boone's Lick', 'Montana', to the fort where her husband lives.

She takes her husband's brother, played by Hanks, along with her, and falls in love with him on the way.
