Hong Kong Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) organised a charity concert recently at the Winter Garden, Hotel Sheraton. Prominent musical icons of the country Shakila Zafar, Kumar Biswajit, Kaniz Subarna and Ayub Bachchu's LRB entertained the audience.

The funds generated from this concert were contributed to various charity organisations around the country. CRP, ICDDR,B, Assistance for the Blind Children, Cleft Lip and Palate Charity, Acid Survivors Foundation are to name just a few of these organisations.

The concert began at around 8:00 pm, with Elita's anchoring and the audience's cheer with Shakila's melodious and spunky numbers. Shakila sang a few of her favourite Bangla numbers like Tumi amaar prothom shokal and Jaagi eka nijhum rate and also presented the old-Hindi hit numbers.

Kumar Biswajit conquered the stage next, and had the crowd grooving to his popular numbers like Tore putuler moto kore shajiye and ended with Ekdin Bangalee chhilamre.

Next came Kaniz Subarna, with her usual lively numbers, including a few from her latest album. The number Feeling hot hot hot was thoroughly enjoyed by many in the audience.

The crowd cheered and danced to the tunes of the popular numbers of LRB. Even the staff and ushers of HSBC enjoyed this moment and rocked to LRB's grooves and beats.

A raffle draw was held in between every break, announcing the first, second and third prizes to the lucky winners from the audience.
