'I want to act in quality films'--Shahed

The Culture Desk wishes him many happy returns of the day. Shilpi Mahalanobish (SM) talks to Shahed Shareef Khan (SSK)on this occasion.

SM: Did you start your career with modelling or acting?

SSK: I joined the drama group Shubochan in 1993. I have started my career on stage. After a few years, I did modelling and then TV drama.

SM: You have acted in a few films, too. How many films have you done so far?

SSK: I have acted in two films, Hridoy Shudhu Tomar Jonno and Priyo Shathi. The former has been released already.

SM: Will you be doing other films?

SSK: Why not? Of course, I'll do films if I get good offers.

SM: Are you busy with only TV dramas at the moment?

SSK: Yes. I am playing in a mega serial.

SM: Many people are directing drama in addition to their acting career. Will you come to the direction side, also?

SSK: Time will tell. I am only thinking about my acting career at the moment. At present, I cannot say whether I will come to the direction side.

SM: People are working in many different media: acting, singing, dancing and modelling. Do you have any positive or negative opinion about this?

SSK: This absolutely depends on their strength and interest. This has nothing to do with good or bad.

If one is capable of doing so many activities at the same time, then what is the problem? I am also a model; I act in TV dramas and films, too -- besides, they are not related to each other.

SM:Do you do anything other than acting?

SSK: It has become important to do something. I shall do something besides my acting, in future.
