What if you were given the authority to change anything in the entertainment media?
I would make dance the national performing art and a must for every citizen, since dance is rooted in every culture and helps in re-vitalising one and all.

I would consider it as a violation of human rights. So, I would do anything to recover my right to dance: meetings and even hunger strikes.
What is your dream role?
I would love to perform a dance in Rabindranath Tagore's Shyama and Chitrangada. And as an actor I want to portray any special character created by Tagore, Sharatchandra Chattyapadhyay and Nazrul.
Who are your role models?
I have never followed any specific celebrity or person. I love to follow the artistic performances by different actors.
Why do female dancers need to diversify?
Despite practicing dance with dedication and patience, may be even from childhood, talented dancers don't get due recognition. This explains why these dancers switch to different media. Then again, the senior artistes hardly give a chance to newcomers.
Whom would you choose if you had the chance to pair up with any international actor?
Well, the list would be really long or may be endless (smilingly). Richard Gere and Amitabh Bachchan would definitely be in the short list.
What is your favourite hang out place in Dhaka?
Do you think there is any quiet place people can hang out in Dhaka? We get caught and trapped for hours in traffic jams whenever we go out. There are too many vehicles, dust, pollution, shoppers, impatient and inconsiderate people on the road, I think it's really hard to enjoy going out anywhere.
Is modeling a prestigious career for women in our country?
It depends on the model herself. If one can take the ramp with dignity and personality, only then can she receive her due honour.
How important are good looks for a woman?
Glamour is definitely important for women involved in showbiz. But anything inappropriate and unnecessary should be avoided.
What advice would you seek from a senior artiste?
I would ask the artiste the secret of her success and how I can achieve perfection.
The best compliment you have ever received?
I wonder whether I should consider it as a compliment at all... most people say, "You look better face to face than on screen."
