What are your upcoming serials this Eid?
Around 11 or 12 serials will be aired over the three days. However most of them will be seen on BTV. I can't remember all the names but here are a few: Parineeta, Shopner sheema nei, Blank cheque, Tomay dilam shonar pinjor, Rajar golpoti furalo and Shomudro shontrash.
Are you in a shopping spree for Eid?
I have to shoot even the day before Eid, so it will be difficult to look around and shop for something special. Since I prefer the 'casually classy' look, on that day I will be wearing 'deshi' saris. Besides that, I guess I'll be getting gifts and will wear them as well.
What's special about Eid?
After a month of hectic shooting and travelling to different locations I am totally exhausted. So on Eid day it's nice to relax and catch up with friends and family once again. I'll try out my 'magic recipes' on unsuspecting visitors.
How do you spend your leisure?
I listen to a lot of 'oldie goldies' by Lata Mangeshkar, RD Burman and Samina Choudhury. Then again I love to watch TV plays with Humayun Faridee, Zahid Hasan or Riaz in the star cast.
If you could be something besides a human what would that be?
I would like to be a bird, because they are so independent and can go anywhere they want.
What cheers you up when you are depressed?
If I can talk to someone very close about the cause for my depression, I feel better immediately.
Your most embarrassing moment..
In real life I am pretty short and petite, so when someone sees me they get surprised, because on screen I guess I look bigger and taller. Though it's amusing most of the times, at times I feel embarrassed seeing the look on their face
Best compliment that has come your way..
Life in the media world is difficult. I love it when people say that I am different. I take that as a compliment.
Phrases/words you cannot do without
There is no such word, but I have a bad habit of laughing excessively. I can't control myself. Even when something might not be funny I laugh. You can say that I can't do without laughing.
