People's Theatre Association arranged a cultural programme at Mahila Samity auditorium on October 10, to observe the International Children 's Day. The programme began with the theme song, Bajao Viswa Beena, sung by a group of children. Composed and directed by Liakat Ali Lucky, the aim of the song was to introduce our children to the songs of different culture and languag, meant for children.

The second part of the arrangement was a discussion programme presided over by Liakat Ali Lucky. In this part the participants invited children to become more cultually conscious and, demanded more facilities for children.

In the third part of the programme, children involved with several cultural organisations like--Tongi Shishu Theatre, Tokai Natya Dal, Shishutirtha Munshiganj, Theatre Circle, Nandan Shishu Theatre, Unmukta Shishu Theatre, Anandam Natyam, and Nirman Shishu Theatre-- presented dance and music.

Later, Barisal Shishu Theatre and People's Little Theatre displayed two of Tagore's plays. The first group staged Tota Kahini directed by Alok Basu and the latter performed Tasher Desh directed by Liakat Ali Lucky. Both the plays amused the children immensely.

The final event was another play named Amader Prithibee by Sabina Bari Lucky, a play for the children, by the children. Again Liakat Ali Lucky was the director. It was a fine arrangement for both privileged and under privileged children of the society.
