ITI foreign delegates evaluate Bangladeshi drama
Tobias Biancone, a playwright from Switzerland, in his remark said, 'I am very impressed by the vividness and quality of Bangladeshi drama. Though I do not understand the language, I think the plays are very heart touching.'
The Artistic Director of Theatre Annees Folles NPO Arata Alicia Kitamura from Japan is eager to know more about Bangladeshi drama. 'I want to exchange thoughts with the Bangladeshi counterparts,' she said.
'I have no clear opinion on the subject. I just went through an "open drama" [patha natak near the Dhanmondi lake] on an amphitheatre and another show at the National Theatre Stage. The first one was fascinating and the second one [Teerthonkar by Shubochan] was very dramatic with the conflict between father and son. I am curious to know more about the Bangladeshi drama in the coming shows,' said Reiner Mennicken the General Secretary of Staats Theatre from Netherlands.
Stephanie Regner, the Assistant to the Executive Director of the ITI, in her views said, 'I really appreciate the Bangladeshi drama. It is really interesting. The festival has created a good impression on me.'
